Amano shrimp, native to Japan, thrive in freshwater aquariums at an ideal temperature of 22-26°C, with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5. They are sensitive to changes in water quality, so keep a low ppm (parts per million) level for ammonia and nitrates. Also be sure to provide plenty of vegetation for them to hide and feed on.
